About Murr’s Herbs

All of the herbs used in making Murr’s Herbs tinctures and teas come from farms that have been certified organic by the USDA. In the making of all of Murr’s Herbs tinctures the length of maceration is at least 8 weeks. How long a tincture macerates and the alcohol water content will determine the strength of the herbal extract. All of Murr’s herbs are made with 40% grain alcohol, distilled water, 100% organic herbs.

Alfalfa Tincture

Is full of vitamins and minerals including potassium, phosphorus, biotin, folic acid, iron, and calcium as well as vitamins A, C, K4.  Alfalfa is great for pregnant women.

 

Black Cohosh Tincture

Is a hormone balancer and is very helpful for symptoms associated with peri-menopause and menopause.  Black Cohosh should not be used at all when one is experiencing flooding during menses.  Black Cohosh tincture is also helpful with menstrual problems, rheumatic conditions and chronic bronchitis.

 

Blue Cohosh Extract

Is a great uterine tonic for the last six weeks of pregnancy.  It helps ease childbirth pain and promotes delivery.  Blue Cohosh tincture is also helpful for delayed or suppressed menstruation and is an anti-spasmodic.

 

Burdock Tincture

Is used as a blood purifier that is soothing & cooling to the body. Useful for skin complaints, arthritis, soothes kidneys and liver and aids digestion.  Burdock root contains minerals including chromium, copper, iron and magnesium.

 

Chamomile Tincture

Is used as a gentle sedative, nervous stomach, colic and teething.

Chickweed Tincture

Soothes internal inflammation and is used for rheumatism, arthritis and skin problems. Used in combination with other herbs such as Burdock Root, Dandelion, and Fennel can help in weight loss.

 

Dandelion Tincture

Is a balanced diuretic high in potassium.  It helps assist to cleanse the liver and kidney, digestive aid, builds blood and helps with skin problems.  Dandelion root contains vitamins and minerals, iron and calcium.

Echinacea Tincture

Is used as a blood and lymph purifier and is often used for colds, flu, sore throats, bites and stings of insects, allergies and septicemia.

 

Eyebright Tincture

is used for congestion and sinusitis. It is an anti-inflammatory and an astringent. Useful for conjunctivitis and weakness of the eyes as well as cataracts.

 

Fennel Tincture

Relieves flatulence and colic, increases milk production, aids digestion and expels mucous.

 

Ginkgo Tincture

Increases cognitive functions in the elderly.  An anti-oxidant, generates new brain cells to help with memory loss by increasing oxygen to the brain.

 

Gotu Kola Extract

It improves the flow of blood throughout the body by strengthening the viens and capillaries.  Mild tranquilizing, anti-stress and anti-anxiety effects.

 

Hawthorn Tincture
Rich in flavonoids that protect small capillary vessels from free-radical damage – normalizes blood pressure, lowers cholesterol and fat deposits in the liver and aorta.  Has been known to help those with Angina, arrhythmia, arteriosclerosis, blood clots, and hypertension. Hawthorn is safe for long-term use.  You can expect to see results in few months from the onset.

Lemon Balm Tincture

Milk Thistle Tincture

is the liver lover of all herbs.  Rebuilds and regenerates damaged liver cells and it helps cleanse the liver from toxins.  This is an excellent herb that can be taken daily for life.  Enough can’t be said about this herb especially in today’s polluted world.

Raspberry Tincture

Excellent for pregnancy.  Strengthens and tones entire female reproductive system.  It can be taken throughout entire pregnancy and is also good to take after giving birth to help tone the uterus and balance hormones.  Raspberry herbs contain magnesium, calcium, iron and other minerals, plus vitamins C, E, A and B complex.

 

Valerian Tincture

Is great for insomnia and as a nerve sedative, PMS symptoms, menstrual cramps, pain, migraines.  Can be taken in combination with other herbs such as Chamomile and Hops to make a complete sleep tonic.

 

White Willow Tincture

Contains salicylic acid which is the original derivative of commercial aspirin.  It is used as an anti-inflammatory, pain reliever, fever reducer. This tincture is useful for rheumatism, gout, headaches, sore muscles.
